Restaurant Sophia is the heart of the Carlton Ambassador. This is a hotspot not only for hotel guests, but also for local guests. Culinary food, excellent wines, fine cocktails, Sophia is the place to be!

Your working day

The sun is shining and you arrive at the hotel. When you stand in front of the door, a sense of pride overtakes you. This is where I work!

You have an early shift today and you ensure that our hotel guests can enjoy a delicious, fresh breakfast. Together with your colleague, you go through the times, check whether there are any special requests and you can get to work. The first guests are arriving for breakfast. Breakfast is going well, the guests are happy and you expect a few more tables. While keeping an eye on your guests, you look at the terrace.

It's going to be a beautiful day, so you decide to start setting up the terrace. You water the plants, put the cushions in place and make sure that it looks neat and appealing. A friendly local resident sees you busy and asks if they can sit down for a cup of coffee. After cleaning up the restaurant from breakfast, the terrace starts to fill up.

Around 11:30 am it is time to boost your energy level. You get lunch in the kitchen and decide to eat it while walking in the sun, while enjoying the green avenue. Back to work! The lunch guests trickle in and it's cozy. That nice lady on the right asks you for wine advice with her lunch, while the gentleman on the right asks you what your favourite is from the menu. The afternoon runs smoothly and your colleagues from the next shift are ready to take turns. After a short transfer, you can look back on a wonderful day!
